Heart of a Lion King is a book of selected passages from Buddhist thinker Nichiren Daishonin's writings that he wrote in the 13th century. The passages are organized by theme so that readers can read inspiring quotes about the spirit of practicing Buddhism, developing courage, and how to overcome various obstacles in life. We've included sidebars throughout the book to provide in depth explanations of historical events as well as lesser known Buddhist concepts for ease of reading. In addition, Buddhist and peace leader Daisaku Ikeda's guidance on various topics are included to help bring to life the wisdom of Nichiren Daishonin.
